Potomac turned four double plays and dealt the Lynchburg Hillcats a 7-3 setback in the series opener, Monday in Woodbridge.

Michael Burgess hit his 15th home run of the season for the Nationals, a two-run shot in the fifth that capped the scoring.

Chase d'Arnaud and Jordy Mercer delivered RBI singles in the Hillcats' three-run third, which gave them a tenuous 3-2 lead.

Potomac's Stephen King doubled in Francisco Placencia to tie the game in the bottom of the fourth before scoring the go-ahead run on a wild pitch by Lynchburg starting pitcher Bryan Morris (2-4).
